About Fresh Ground

We are a local community cafe run by Eltham Green Community Church to be a place where the whole community will feel welcomed.  Our desire is for every person to not just enjoy good food and drink that is well priced and accessible, but also to have an enjoyable experience, a smile, a welcome and a place where they can meet people, new and old.  We recognise the need for safe places where young and old can come. We make a point about being accessible for parents and carers who have children and to create space where children will enjoy being here, and therefore their parents and carers. 

Our Coffee is supplied by local Peckham roasters - Old Spike.

Not only do they provide some of the finest, freshest coffee, they are also a social enterprise, believing in people over profit and doing everything with social good in mind.  Old Spike's core mission is to provide expert training, jobs and housing support for people experiencing homelessness across the UK. We are proud to serve their great tasting coffee and also to partner with them in the venture.
